Born in a musical
family, Adis collaborated and learned guitar and other instruments
from various musicians since very early on. At the age of
18, Adis won the internationally publicized MusicWest “Starfret”
guitar competition (1995) that included Seymour Duncan and Paul
Rivera on the judging panel.
Since enrollment
in the school of hard knocks, Adis performed with many artists in
Vancouver, BC music scene. Soon after, Adis got an endorsement
from Vanous amplifiers as he also participated in demonstrating
and testing of prototype amp designs.
His studies
involved computer / electroacoustic music at the Simon Fraser
University where several pieces focused on the 8-channel diffusion
(Richmond Sound Design Audio Box) and these works were performed
at the SFU Theatre and at the Bourges 2005 International Festival
of Electroacoustic Music.
In 2005, he
performed at the “Ultimate Jam” competition sponsored by Vancouver
Rock 101 radio station and placed 3rd as the only guitar player
among the top 5 finalists who were all vocalists (fronting the
band). Mike Soldano of Soldano Amplifiers was also a member of the
judging panel.
10 years later
since the Starfret event, Adis won the 1st place at the Vancouver
Guitar Show “Shred-off” competition where Dave Martone was one of
the judges. Currently, Adis is recording and performing live with
various artists in many different music genres.
