Calder Music hosted a guitar barbecue where, among other things, a guitar neck from a Googoo Dolls gig was roasted.

Calder Music hosted a guitar barbecue Sunday, June 6 (1757 Capilano Rd.)

This event was spectacular -- musicians galore. The afternoon started with a guitar barbecue, food and fun. Later in the afternoon the jams started and continued well into the night.

Local musicians sitting in: Dave Taylor on bass (Bryan Adams' band, using the new Evil Twin Fender amp), Bob McMahon (Superchach), Jesse Tucker (guitarist for Woodall/Relling & Milne, Savary Pie Co. band, George Widule (Kick Axe), Todd Taylor (The Workshop), the infamous Larry Lingle, Terry Kellog and an extremely talented guitar player, Adis Husejnagic. This young man had the most seasoned musicians shaking their heads in awe. Lactating his guitar rhythmically through licks and riffs with pure skill, feel and dexterity, the jams that ensued were stellar, a privilege to have been there.
